I've been dealing with a really painful and burning throat all day. Hot water and salt didn't help at all. It's so uncomfortable when I swallow, and the pain's more on the left side. Any ideas on what's going on or how to make it stop?

I'm curious about this recurring pain I've been experiencing around my throat and jaw. It happens about once a month and it really hurts, especially when I touch it from outside or move my head. A doctor mentioned it might be due to tonsillitis, but I don't have that sore throat feeling inside. It's only on the outside of my throat and jaw area. Could this really be tonsillitis, or could it be something else entirely?

I've been feeling like there's something stuck in my throat for a few days now. It's not painful or hard to swallow, just kind of uncomfortable. I took a look and saw a small bump, like 1 cm or maybe smaller, at the back of my tongue. I can also see my epiglottis and my uvula seems to be touching it. Is this something I should be worried about? It's been four days with this sensation, and I'm not sure what to do.
