I've been dealing with sinus issues for the past year and my doctor recommended septoplasty surgery. I'm a bit worried is this procedure really 100% curable? What can I expect in terms of recovery and long-term results?

Septoplasty is not a 100% guarantee for a cure, but it has a high success rate in improving nasal airflow and sinus issues. Recovery typically takes a few weeks, and long-term results can be permanent, but some patients may experience lingering issues or complications

View allI'm a bit confused and worried about the results from my recent CT scan. It mentioned complete opacification of the left maxillary antrum and polypoid thickening on the right side. Could you help me understand what this means?

My nose bone is slightly bent to the left and I've noticed it over the last four years. Is surgery the only way to fix this or are there other solutions?
sx is option only.

I have sinus issues and a deviated septum is surgery absolutely necessary for the septum problem I keep getting vertigo attacks frequently
Surgery for a deviated septum (septoplasty) is not always necessary and depends on the severity of symptoms and whether they are caused by the deviated septum. While it can improve breathing and potentially reduce sinus issues and vertigo, it's not a guaranteed solution for all cases and may not be needed if symptoms are mild or manageable with medication
