how risky is eardrum surgery and what are the chances of it working out fine also how long does it usually take to get back to normal after the procedure.Around 24 hours and 2 weeks is advised.

I'm having some major issues with my left ear that are really affecting my sleep. I found out I have a middle ear infection and after going through a bunch of tests like X-rays, blood work, an echocardiogram, ECG, and a CT scan of the mastoid, my doctor is suggesting a major surgery. Can you tell me what this surgery is called? I'm also really worried about any health risks that might come with it.
