I've been dealing with sticky stools and really smelly gas for about 20 days now. It's starting to worry me. Do you think I should get a stool test done? Also, what kind of treatment would you suggest for this?

Given your 20-day symptoms of sticky stools and smelly gas, consider consulting a gastroenterologist for a comprehensive evaluation, including a stool test to rule out underlying conditions like malabsorption, small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), or gastrointestinal infections, and treatment may involve antibiotics, probiotics, or dietary modifications.

My wife Rita Datta is 58 and from Kolkata. She's been dealing with indigestion and loss of appetite, which has led to a lot of weight loss. A gastroenterologist at Peerless Hospital suggested an USG, and the report showed a large mass pushing her left kidney and spleen. They recommended a CT scan, which we did, and the gastrosurgeon advised immediate surgery. We've attached all the reports could you take a look and let us know what you think? We're really worried and not sure what the next steps should be

I can understand your concern. You haven't attached any reports as such with this question here. Also, why did you change doctors? And if immediate surgery is required, then i think you should get the surgery done. Consult a gastroenterologist in person for further evaluation and management
