I've been dealing with throat pain for about 4 months now, and I've tried several medications for pharyngitis, but they haven't really worked. I recently switched to a new ENT doctor, and he prescribed more medicine for pharyngitis for 7 days. After taking it for just 2 days, I started having hiccups. For the past two days, I've been getting frequent hiccups every 2 to 3 hours, lasting around 10 to 15 minutes each time. I'm looking for some guidance on what might be causing this and how to prevent any issues. Any advice would be really helpful.

View allI'm really worried about my son's recent diagnosis of inferior turbinate hypertrophy. Can you tell me if his nasal turbinates might get bigger as he grows older? Also, what potential complications should I watch out for in the future because of this?
Inferior turbinate hypertrophy can indeed increase with age due to various factors such as allergies, infections, or chronic irritation. As the turbinate enlarges, it can lead to symptoms like nasal congestion, difficulty breathing, and recurrent sinus infections. In severe cases, it can even cause obstructive sleep apnea. To manage the symptoms and potential complications, your son can use nasal corticosteroid sprays like Flonase
