 Is there a way to tell ahead of time if someone might need one of these after surgery or is it just something you figure out if bleeding gets bad? I'm scheduled for nasal surgery soon and trying to prepare for what to expect 
 
 What's the recovery like with these packs in place? Do they make breathing or swallowing way harder or is it manageable? I've got a pretty low pain tolerance so I'm nervous about the whole process
