I've been dealing with a toothache for the past couple of days. There's a cavity, and it's been really painful, especially since this evening. I can't even drink cold water because it hurts so much. Can you suggest something that might help?

-You can try rinsing with warm salt water to reduce pain and inflammation. Applying a cold compress to the outside of your cheek may also help numb the area. However, it's best to see a dentist soon to get the cavity treated.

View allI've been having this nagging pain in my jaw, right near the ear for the past few days. It really hurts when I chew my food, yawn, or if I move my mouth a lot. Any idea what this could be? Who should I see about it?

I've got this painful sore on the roof of my mouth and it's making eating pretty difficult. It hurts whenever anything touches the sore. I've never dealt with this kind of sore before and I'm not sure what's causing it. There's a noticeable bright red spot in there. Can you tell me what this might be? What's going on here?

I've got this minor swelling in my mouth, and while it's not causing me any pain, it's become quite noticeable. I haven't taken any medicine for it since it's not really bothering me in terms of chewing or giving me a toothache. My mouth doesn't feel dry either, but I'm still concerned. Should I be worried about this swelling, or is it something that might go away on its own?
You may be experiencing a minor dental issue. The noticeable swelling without pain could be due to a variety of reasons such as an infection or inflammation. I would recommend using an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen to help reduce the swelling. Additionally, you can rinse your mouth with warm salt water to help with any discomfort. If the swelling persists or worsens, it is best to consult with a dentist for further evaluation and treatment.
