Weight loss surgery can be helpful in obese diabetic patients. Most of our patients were able to come off their diabetes medications following weight loss. It is difficult to comment on whether you would benefit from weight loss surgery as i do not have any details about the type of your diabetes, medications and your weight. You may want to consult a qualified diabetologist.

Just found out I have hypothyroidism with normal T3 and T4 but TSH at 24. My doctor started me on thyroxine 100mcg. I need to get a dental surgery done with local anesthesia soon should I wait until my TSH levels are normal or can I go ahead with the procedure now?
