I've been experiencing constant pain in my legs, mostly around my knees for about a month now, and it's getting hard to climb stairs. I'm really curious about what's causing this pain. Could you help me understand what's going on?

The constant pain in your legs, mainly around the knee area, and difficulty climbing stairs could be due to various reasons such as overuse or strain, osteoarthritis, ligament sprains, tendonitis, or even vitamin D deficiency; consider consulting an orthopedic specialist

View allMy wife has been on steroids for a week due to her higher ESR rate, and I'm a bit worried because she's recently developed some swelling around her knee. Could the swelling be a side effect of the steroids? Would love to know what you think.
Steroids can indeed cause side effects, including swelling in the legs. This swelling is known as peripheral edema and can be a result of fluid retention caused by the steroids. It is important to monitor this side effect and inform your doctor about it. In the meantime, elevating the legs and reducing salt intake may help alleviate the swelling.

I'm really worried about this weakness and leg pain I've been experiencing. I've been taking Medrol for my swollen lymph nodes in the chest, with doses starting at 12mg, then 8mg, and now 4mg for about a week each. But just a couple of days before I was supposed to finish the 4mg dose, I suddenly started feeling extremely weak and my legs are in so much pain. It's been like this since. Any idea what might be going on?

Can I just take predmet 8 mg twice a day instead of the 16 mg my doctor prescribed? The 8 mg is the only strength available here. Is it going to be the same?
You can take predmet 8 mg twice daily.
