I've been feeling a heaviness in my head over the last few days, and I think it might be due to wax buildup in my left ear. Could an ear infection be causing this heaviness? I'm really curious to understand what's going on.

I've been having some pain on the right side of my neck whenever I yawn or chew, and I've heard it might be related to a cold, but that doesn't really make sense to me. Any idea what could be causing this and what I should do about it?

While yawning or chewing, pain on the right side of the neck could be due to muscle strain or inflammation. To help alleviate the pain, you can try taking over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen (e.g. Advil) at a dosage of 400mg every 4-6 hours as needed for pain. Additionally, applying a warm compress to the affected area and gently massaging the neck muscles may also provide some relief. If the pain persists or worsens, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare professional for further evaluation and management.

I've been dealing with post nasal drips for a while and was using Nasivion S spray and Montair LC, but now my new doctor switched me to Metaspray nasal spray and Histrafree 120 tablets. After taking them this morning, I noticed swelling and a discoloration on the roof of my mouth. Should I stop taking these meds or keep going with what the doctor prescribed?

It sounds like you may be experiencing an allergic reaction to the new medications. The swelling and discoloration of the hard palate in your mouth could be a sign of an allergic response. I recommend stopping the Metaspray nasal spray and Tab Histrafree 120 immediately. Please consult your doctor for further evaluation and management.

I accidentally cut the skin on my ear while shaving and used undiluted Dettol with a cotton ball on the cut. Unfortunately, some of the Dettol got into my ear, and I felt a burning sensation right away. I'm really worried about whether this could cause any damage to my ear or even my brain. Could this be a problem?
