I've been having some pain on the right side of my neck whenever I yawn or chew, and I've heard it might be related to a cold, but that doesn't really make sense to me. Any idea what could be causing this and what I should do about it?

While yawning or chewing, pain on the right side of the neck could be due to muscle strain or inflammation. To help alleviate the pain, you can try taking over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen (e.g. Advil) at a dosage of 400mg every 4-6 hours as needed for pain. Additionally, applying a warm compress to the affected area and gently massaging the neck muscles may also provide some relief. If the pain persists or worsens, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare professional for further evaluation and management.

View allI'm a bit worried because during dinner I think a piece of food might've gone down my windpipe. I didn't have a choking fit or anything, but I did feel like at some point the food left my windpipe. Now it's got me wondering because I still feel like there's something stuck in my throat. Breathing and talking are fine, but I keep coughing since it feels like something's in there. Is it possible I might've just coughed it up and swallowed it, and my throat's just irritated?
Yes you are right, that coul be because of irritation nothing else, because windpipe cannot accomodate anything other than air, hence no need to worry, consume warm foods untill you feel better.

I've noticed that my tonsils have been really swollen for a while now, ever since I had a whooping cough. The doctor mentioned they were large and red, but I didn't really feel any discomfort like pain or issues with swallowing. Lately, my friends told me I've been snoring, and Im starting to wonder if it's linked to my tonsils. I quit smoking completely, and while my cough went away, the swelling in my tonsils hasnt. Theyre so big that theres only a small gap between them. Should I be worried about this, or is it something that will eventually go back to normal?
As you say your tonsils look swollen with no symptoms.without any further delay visit ENT docotor for rvaluating other conditions and appropriate approach.
