I've been feeling like there's something stuck in my throat for a while now, below where my Adam's apple is, sort of around the thyroid gland area. I went to see an ENT specialist and he mentioned it might be granular pharyngitis after checking my tonsils, but it just doesn't feel right. It's like the sensation is further down. What do you think could be causing this feeling, and what steps should I take next?

It sounds like you may be experiencing a sensation of something stuck in your throat, which could be related to granular pharyngitis. To help alleviate this feeling, you can try using a throat spray like Chloraseptic (benzocaine) to numb the area and reduce discomfort. Additionally, you can take over-the-counter antihistamines like Claritin (loratadine) to help with any inflammation or allergic reactions that may be contributing to the sensation. If the feeling persists, it would be advisable to follow up with your ENT specialist for further evaluation and management.

I'm really worried about my sister. She's been experiencing this weird burnt plastic smell and taste whenever she eats anything. It's like everything just tastes and smells like plastic to her, and raw veggies seem to be the worst. This all started about two weeks ago, and she doesn't have a cold, cough, or fever or anything like that. Now she's also feeling some pain in her left lower jaw since yesterday. Do you have any idea what this might be? Who should we talk to about getting this checked out?
Chia seeds do not directly stop periods, but they may help regulate menstrual cycles due to their high fiber and omega-3 fatty acid content. Delayed periods can be caused by various factors, including hormonal imbalances, stress, or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Since you've already taken Deviry and pregnancy tests are negative, consult a gynecologist to rule out underlying conditions and determine the best course of action.

I've been dealing with a sore throat since last week, and it was really red. My uvula got swollen, and it felt like it was touching my tongue. Now I'm feeling better, but my uvula still looks bigger than usual, and the tip seems black. Plus, my right tonsil is a bit swollen. Should I be worried about these symptoms?
You may have had a case of acute pharyngitis with uvulitis, and now you are experiencing some residual inflammation. To help reduce the swelling and inflammation, you can try using a throat spray containing benzocaine to numb the area and reduce discomfort. Additionally, you can take ibuprofen 400mg every 6 hours as needed for pain and inflammation. Gargling with warm salt water several times a day can also help with the swelling and discomfort. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it is advisable to see an ENT specialist for further evaluation and management.
