I've been feeling unsteady while walking for the past 3 years, so I got a CT scan that showed dehiscence of the lateral semicircular canal. I had ear surgery, but the surgeon said there was no dehiscence only an infection, which they cleared during the procedure. My unsteadiness hasn't improved, and I'm really confused was the CT scan wrong or did the surgeon miss something? Who should I see next to figure this out? It's been so long without any answers, and I'm really worried this might be something serious with no solution

I've been on PPIs like ranitidine, rabeprazole, and omeprazole recently, though I only took the first two for a day each and omeprazole for four days. They also prescribed gabapentin, but I haven't tried it yet because I'm worried about the side effects. It's been weeks now, and while I initially thought this was all due to some acidity or acid reflux, what scares me more is my muscle mass seems to be disappearing. I can press or pull my muscles too easily, and sometimes I feel weak or numb and even have trouble breathing while reading or studying. What's going on with me?
