I've been getting this slight cough since May and I don't usually cough a lot, but I feel like there's some chest congestion. Could it be that there's thickened mucus there? This seems to happen once a year now for about the past 5 years. Normally, I just take regular cough syrup and it goes away, but this time I haven't taken anything. Should I be worried or do anything different?

View allI've been having a hard time breathing for about a week now. Every time I try to lie down, I start coughing a lot and feel like there's something stuck in my lungs, and my cough sounds whooshy. I noticed that if I sleep on an incline, I manage to get some rest. I'm a bit overweight, and my dad used to have sleep apnea, so I'm worried it might be something like that. Can you let me know what might be going on and if there's anything specific I should be doing or checking for?
It sounds like you may be experiencing symptoms of asthma or possibly sleep apnea. I recommend you try using an inhaler such as Ventolin (albuterol) to help with your breathing difficulties. You can take 2 puffs every 4-6 hours as needed. Additionally, you may benefit from using a CPAP machine for sleep apnea, similar to what your father used. I suggest you consult with a doctor to get a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

I'm really concerned about my friend's oxygen saturation levels. They've been all over the placesometimes it starts at 76 and then jumps up to 93 or 94 after a few minutes. He doesn't have any symptoms and seems fine otherwise, but his family is worried because their levels are all at 99 spO2. Is it normal for oxygen levels to fluctuate like this in someone who's not showing any symptoms? Should we consider getting him a COVID test or something just to be sure?
it is normal for a person , don't worry. no need of any tests

I'm having some trouble when I talk, like I can't catch my breath, and my chest feels really stiff. It's making me feel weak and drained, and honestly, I just don't feel like talking because of it. What's going on? Is this something I should be worried about?
Patient is advised x-ray chest and sputum for AFB and microscopy.
