I've been having really loose stools for the past 25 days, going around 34 times a day. I just got my liver function test results too, and it shows my SGPT is 138 and SGOT is 72. What can I do to recover quickly?

View allI'm experiencing chest pain, probably due to gas acidity, and it feels uncomfortable. I even have cramping pain in my abdomen that doesn't seem to go away, lasting until the next day. Plus, after every meal, I notice some gas forming. Should I be concerned, or is there something specific I should do to manage this better?
You may be experiencing symptoms of gastritis or acid reflux. I recommend taking an antacid medication to help with the acidity and gas. Additionally, you can try taking a proton pump inhibitor to reduce stomach acid production. It is also important to avoid spicy and acidic foods, as well as eating smaller meals more frequently. If the symptoms persist, please consult with a healthcare professional for further evaluation and management.

I'm really worried because my SGPT levels are high in my blood tests. I used to drink alcohol weekly, so I'm wondering if that's what's causing it. How can I lower my SGPT levels quickly? Also, if I get my levels back to normal, would it be okay to drink occasionally?
To decrease SGPT levels quickly, you should first stop consuming alcohol completely. Additionally, you can take medications like Ursodeoxycholic acid (300mg) or S-Adenosylmethionine (400mg) to help lower SGPT levels. It is important to also maintain a healthy diet, exercise regularly, and stay hydrated to support liver function. Once your SGPT level returns to normal, it is best to avoid alcohol consumption or drink in moderation to prevent a recurrence of high SGPT levels.
