I've been having some concerns lately about my digestion. Over the past few days, I've noticed undigested food in my stoolthings like brown rice, pineapples, and papayas. Along with that, I've been dealing with mild abdominal cramps and somewhat solid stools. It's frustrating because I often feel the urge to go, but then nothing really happens. Sometimes, I even see mucus and fat in there too. Could this be IBS? I'm also wondering if it's necessary to get a colonoscopy or endoscopy at my ageI'm 28 and physically active. There's no blood in my stool, but I'm worried about these other symptoms. What do you think?

While surgery is sometimes necessary to address severe cases or complications, many people can live with a redundant colon without needing intervention. In some cases, nonsurgical options like decompression procedures or lifestyle changes can be used to manage symptoms.
