I've been having some weird experiences at night. A few days ago, I just woke up out of nowhere feeling like I couldn't catch my breath. It's not like anything I could control, you know? Plus, I've noticed that I'm needing to get up and pee a lot during the night, and sometimes my back starts to hurt. Do you think all these things could be connected or something?

My dad has been having some kidney pain and tests confirmed he has kidney stones. The doctors are recommending surgery right away without trying any medications first. Can you review the reports and let me know if surgery is really necessary? If yes, how soon should it be done?

My dad got an ultrasound that showed an 11mm stone in his right kidney but he has no pain or discomfort. Should we consider surgery or can medicines help dissolve it? What would you recommend for his case?
Patient is advised for surgery since the stone is larger size in diameter.A nephrologist opinion is advised for further management of the patient.
