I've been having trouble breathing, especially at night. It's gotten to the point where I wake up suddenly because it feels difficult to breathe. There's also some chest pain, and I just feel exhausted all the time. What could be causing this, and should I be worried?

I'm a bit worried about my mom. The doctor gave her Montair LC 001 and Pan D100 for her mild dry cough she mainly gets when she's talking. It's been going on for like 1620 days, but she doesn't have any other cold symptoms, and there are no signs of asthma or acidity issues.
