I've been reading up on the benefits of taking cold showers, and I'm considering making it a part of my daily morning routine. But I've got a slight sinus infection right now and I'm worried that a cold shower might make it worse. Do you think this is something I should avoid, or is it still okay to go ahead with?

Taking daily cold showers with a slight sinus infection may exacerbate your condition, as cold water can cause nasal passages to constrict, increase mucus production, and potentially worsen sinus congestion; however, some people find that cold showers help reduce inflammation and improve circulation, which may alleviate sinus symptoms.

View allI'm really concerned about this ongoing soreness and scratchy feeling in my throat that I've had for the last four months. I've seen several ENT specialists, and each one seems to have a different take on it. One mentioned acid reflux but I don't actually feel any heartburn, while another pointed to post-nasal drip and after a CT scan said I have ethmoid sinusitis and inflammation in my throat. He mentioned surgery might be an option if medication doesn't help, which I'm really not eager for. Yet another doctor said it's just an infection, but that doesnt seem to explain everything, and I can't get rid of this nagging feeling. I went down a Google rabbit hole and read about persistent throat issues being linked to cancer. Could just a sore throat really mean something as serious as cancer?

I'm really worried because I've been having this weird discomfort in my throat for the past 23 weeks. It's mostly at night and feels like something's stuck in there. I already saw an ENT doctor who did a larynx endoscopy and gave me some meds, which worked for about ten days. But now the problem is back and when I eat, it feels like there's this spicy sensation in my throat and even in my ear. Can you help me figure out what's going on?
Drinking cold water can cause: - Irritation of the throat lining - Constriction of blood vessels - Inflammation To soothe the sore throat: - Gargle with warm saltwater - Suck on throat lozenges (e.g., Strepsils) - Take over-the-counter pain relievers (e.g., acetaminophen) Rest your voice and stay hydrated. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

I've noticed this white spot on my left tonsil for the past couple of days. There's no pain, no swelling, no sore throat or fever, and I've never had any issues with my tonsils before. This is the first time seeing something like this, and I'm a bit concerned. Could you help me understand what it might be?
