I've been smoking for about 5 years, and I stopped almost 2 months ago. But I've noticed I'm still coughing. The cough is white in color, and there's no other kind of cough. What could be going on? Can you suggest something that might help?

My husband finished 6 months of medication for mediastinal lymph node TB, and I've attached his reports. Originally, his node was 7cm by 3cm. During this period, he gained 9kg, and while he used to have a fever, thats gone now and his cough is a bit better. But he still coughs around 30 times a day, and I'm counting each one. Could it be something serious like cancer since his cough hasn't completely cleared up yet?
Pulmonologist opinion is advised to the patient.

I'm struggling with a lot of phlegm in my throat every morning. I have asthma, so sometimes I get short of breath. I've been using nebulisation which helps, but it's not solving the phlegm issue. I've tried making myself vomit to clear my throat, but then I end up with an infection in my esophagus, and I feel like there's still something stuck in my throat after eating. It's making it really hard to eat properly. Can you help me figure out what's going on and what I can do about it?
take mucinac for 3 days;, do endoscopy to rule out other causes
