I've been taking stool softeners for 11 months since delivering my baby last December and now I'm on homeopathic treatment for my fissure - should I stop the softeners? The pain is really bad and I'm wondering if laser surgery would be better since it hurts so much

View allI've been diagnosed with a fistula and I'm really confused about the best way to treat it should I consider surgery or try Ayurvedic treatments first? I'm worried about the recovery process and which option would be more effective long-term. What would you recommend based on the severity and type of fistula?

I've been having this pain around my anus for the last couple of days, and when I went to see the doctor yesterday, she mentioned it was the beginning stage of piles. I'm a bit worried and not sure what to do next. Could you give me some advice on how to manage this or what steps I should take?
It sounds like you may be experiencing symptoms of piles (hemorrhoids). To help alleviate your symptoms, you can try using over-the-counter medications such as Preparation H cream. Apply a small amount of the cream to the affected area up to 4 times a day, especially after bowel movements. Additionally, you can take a stool softener like Colace to help make bowel movements more comfortable. Make sure to drink plenty of water and eat a high-fiber diet to prevent constipation, which can worsen hemorrhoid symptoms. If your symptoms persist or worsen, please follow up with your doctor for further evaluation and management.
