I've developed this red rash and some small bumps on my arm after donating plasma yesterday. Now its starting to spread to my face and ears, possibly because I've been touching it. The bumps look like little pimples, and theyre just in one area. They're not leaking or anything though. Could this be a reaction to iodine or nickel? Should I try using creams or is it better to see a doctor? I don't have health insurance, so I'm hoping to avoid unnecessary visits.

The dull pinch sensation and purple spot on your glans corona are concerning symptoms.
Possible Causes
- Penile trauma: The pinch sensation and bruise-like spot might be related to minor trauma during masturbation.
- Penile fracture: Although less likely, a penile fracture (fracture of the corpora cavernosa) could cause similar symptoms.
- Thrombosed vein: A thrombosed vein under the skin's surface might cause a purple spot and pinch sensation.
- Infection or inflammation: An infection or inflammation, such as balanitis, could cause similar symptoms.
What to Do
- Consult a urologist: Schedule an appointment with a urologist to evaluate your symptoms and provide a proper diagnosis.
- Avoid sex and masturbation: Refrain from any sexual activity until you've consulted a urologist and received guidance.
- Monitor symptoms: Keep track of any changes in your symptoms, including the frequency and intensity of the pinch sensation.

View allI'm 23 now and have had this small lesion on one side of my scrotum since I was 14. Occasionally, I notice some black colored dead skin coming off it. I looked it up online, and it seems like it might be angiokeratoma. It's not painful, but I'm worried because it seems to be spreading slowly. Should I be concerned or get it checked out?

I'm really struggling with flaky dandruff and it's been going on for about a year now. I've tried using selsun and fungiside shampoos twice a week, but they haven't helped at all. Could you give me some advice on what else I might try?
Flaky dandruff that is not responding to over-the-counter shampoos may require a stronger treatment. I recommend trying a shampoo containing ketoconazole, such as Nizoral. You can use it twice a week for 4 weeks. If there is still no improvement, you may need a prescription-strength shampoo or medication from a dermatologist.

I'm really struggling with these dark spots on my face from pimples. Can you help me figure out how to reduce the pimples and get rid of the dark spots they leave behind?
Reducing Pimples* 1. *Maintain good hygiene*: Wash your face twice a day with a gentle cleanser. 2. *Use non-comedogenic products*: Choose products labeled "non-comedogenic" or "oil-free" to avoid clogging pores. 3. *Exfoliate regularly*: Exfoliate once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. 4. *Avoid picking or popping pimples*: This can lead to further inflammation and scarring. *Eliminating Dark Spots* 1. *Topical treatments*: Apply creams or serums containing ingredients like: - Hydroquinone (2%): Fades dark spots. - Retinoids: Promotes cell turnover and collagen production. - Niacinamide: Improves skin hyperpigmentation. - Vitamin C: Antioxidant properties help reduce dark spots. 2. *Chemical peels*: A dermatologist can perform chemical peels to exfoliate the skin and reduce dark spots. 3. *Microdermabrasion*: A non-invasive exfoliating treatment that can help reduce dark spots. 4. *Sun protection*: Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+) daily to prevent further darkening of spots.
