Ive been experiencing pain when I breathe or sneeze, and I've visited several doctors without finding any relief. I decided to get an ultrasound, and the results showed a pleural effusion of 300-400ml. I'm quite worried and unsure of what steps to take next. I've recently been diagnosed with bronchitis and had this persistent cough with thick phlegm. The doctor gave me some meds, and I'm feeling better now, but he suggested doing a PFT test if possible. Now, I'm wondering if it makes sense to just do the PFT test on its own, or should I also get a chest X-ray with it? Or maybe a CT scan of the chest would give clearer results? I'd love some guidance on what's best to do next.
