I've got a cold right now and every time I sneeze, I notice some blood coming from my nose. I'm not sure what's causing this or how I should handle it. Could it be something serious? What steps should I take to treat it?

View allI'm really worried about my 5-year-old son's frequent nosebleeds. It's been happening for about a month now, and even though the amount of blood isn't much, sometimes it happens twice a day. We saw an ENT doctor around 15 days ago, and they said it was anterior and suggested using paraffin drops and saline. It did help a bit at first, but then the nosebleeds started becoming more frequent again over the past few days. He's currently taking Oleptal DT 150 twice a day for childhood epilepsy. Do you think we should go back for another check-up?

I've had inferior and middle turbinate issues along with a deviated nasal septum for the past 13 years. I'm 22 now and experience nasal blockage at night sometimes in the right nostril, sometimes the left, but never both at once. My sleep is fine though. Should I consider surgery or just live with it? What type of surgery would you recommend, and will I be able to live normally afterward?

I have small nasal polyps and want to avoid surgery are there any medicines that can help shrink them or manage the symptoms? I'm really worried about going under the knife and would prefer other options if possible
Yes, several medications can help shrink nasal polyps and manage symptoms, making surgery less likely or even unnecessary. Nasal corticosteroids, such as fluticasone, are often the first-line treatment to reduce inflammation and shrink polyps. In some cases, oral corticosteroids like prednisone, or biologic medications like dupilumab, may be used, especially for larger or more stubborn polyps. WebMD also mentions that combining topical and oral steroids can be more effective than topical steroids alone.
