I've had fistula surgery a week ago and was told to take Smuth syrup, 15ml dosage, but it led to diarrhea. I cut back to 10ml, which helped with the stool softness, but I'm still going to the bathroom twice a day. Is it okay if I drop it down to 5ml? What should I do?

You can try reducing the dose of Smuth syrup to 5ml, but consult your surgeon or doctor first, as they may recommend adjusting the dose based on your individual needs and bowel movements, and also ensure you're drinking plenty of water and eating fiber-rich foods to support a smooth recovery from fistula surgery.

View allI'm feeling a bit uneasy because I've had this discomfort and pain in the upper right side of my chest for the past three days. I visited a gastric specialist and he mentioned it might be due to acidity, so he prescribed Pantocid 40mg and Rifagut. I've been taking them for two days now, but the discomfort hasnt improved. Do you think I should get an X-ray to check what's going on? Any advice would be really helpful.
yes do one chest xray

I've been having this non-cardiac pain on the left side of my chest for years now. I've done various tests like X-rays, ECG, blood tests, and PFT, and they all came back normal. The doctors tell me it's nothing to worry about and suggest I just need to distract myself. Some have even mentioned it could be gas. But this pain feels suffocating, and it usually hits when I'm resting and thinking about it. Strangely enough, I can run for an hour without any issues. It's just really frustrating and concerning. Any idea what could be happening?
It sounds like you may be experiencing musculoskeletal chest pain, especially since all your tests have come back normal. This type of pain can be caused by inflammation in the muscles or joints in the chest wall. To help relieve your symptoms, you can try taking over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen. Additionally, you can apply a warm compress to the painful area and practice relaxation techniques to help manage any stress or anxiety that may be contributing to your symptoms. If the pain persists, you can also try using a topical pain relief gel containing diclofenac, applying it to the affected area up to 3-4 times a day. Remember to follow the recommended dosage instructions on the product packaging.

I'm having this weird feeling of uneasiness in my chest, but it's only when I'm trying to sleep at night, during the day it's not there at all. When it happens, I usually just get up, drink some water, and I end up belching a lot, and then after a while, I can go back to sleep like normal. I've been keeping an eye on my SpO2 at home and its around 97-98 every time I check it. Also, I went to a general physician yesterday, May 18, and they said my SpO2 is good too. I don't have any other symptoms, especially those related to Covid. My doctor gave me antibiotics to be on the safer side along with some vitamins for three days. I'm just wondering if there's anything else I should be looking into, like, should I get a CT scan of my lungs or anything like that given my situation?
