I've had Fox Fordyce for 8 years and it's been hell with the constant itching only corticosteroid creams give me relief. Would surgically removing all my armpit sweat glands cure this condition? I'm desperate for a permanent solution since creams just manage symptoms.

View allI've got a bump that just popped up on the side of my nose out of nowhere, and it's been hanging around for two weeks. Whenever I try to mess with it, I get this white pus along with some blood from the pores. My skin is super oily and I do get these acne bumps sometimes. I'm wondering what might be going on and how I can get rid of it. Any thoughts?
The sudden bump on your nose could be a: 1. Sebaceous cyst 2. Pimple or acne cyst 3. Ingrown hair To get rid of the bump: *Self-Care* 1. *Stop picking*: Avoid squeezing or picking the bump to prevent further inflammation and scarring. 2. *Warm compresses*: Apply a warm, damp washcloth to the area for 5-7 minutes, 2-3 times a day. 3. *Keep the area clean*: Gently wash your face with a mild cleanser, avoiding harsh products. *Topical Treatments* 1. *Benzoyl peroxide*: Apply a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream or gel to the affected area. 2. *Tea tree oil*: Mix a few drops of tea tree oil with a carrier oil (coconut or olive oil) and apply it to the bump. *Professional Help* If the bump persists, worsens, or becomes severely inflamed, consult a dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment. In the meantime, consider: 1. *Oily skin management*: Use oil-free products, and consider a clay-based mask to control oil production. 2. *Acne treatment*: If you're prone to acne, consider consulting a dermatologist for a personalized treatment plan.
