I've had GERD for about a year now and every time I take medicine or antacids, I end up with loose motions. Is this normal? Should I consider surgery as an option or are there other ways to manage this?

View allI've been dealing with a bit of a situation. A week ago, I had a throat infection and was on medication for it, but then I started having stomach upset and loose motions. I decided to stop the medication, and I tried arrowroot powder to help. It seemed to work, but now, for the past three days, I've had stomach pain on both sides. I dont usually have issues with gastric acidity, but the pain gets worse when I walk, go upstairs, or take a deep breath. What should I do about this?
If the pain is severe, constant, or associated with symptoms like vomiting, fever, bloody stools, or significant tenderness, it would be wise to consult with a healthcare provider to rule out any underlying issues, such as an intestinal infection or inflammation.

I recently had a general blood test, and most of my results look good. However, I'm a bit worried as my ALANINE TRANSAMINASE (SGPT) level is at 56.2 UI. Is this something I should be concerned about, or do you have any advice on what I should do next?
It's understandable to feel concerned, but an SGPT level of 56.2 UI is slightly elevated and may not necessarily indicate a serious issue. I recommend following up with your doctor for further evaluation, especially if there are any symptoms like fatigue, jaundice, or abdominal discomfort, to rule out liver-related conditions.
