I've had my right ear partly blocked for the past couple of days, and from this morning, its starting to hurt inside and still feels blocked. What could be causing this, and is there something I should do about it?

I'm curious about this recurring pain I've been experiencing around my throat and jaw. It happens about once a month and it really hurts, especially when I touch it from outside or move my head.
