I've had a wound on my leg for a couple of weeks now, and while it's healing, I've noticed this itchy circular rash forming around it. The itchiness is getting pretty annoying, and it looks like it's spreading slowly. Should I be worried about this rash, and what can I do to help it go away?

Your symptoms suggest a possible anal issue. I'll outline potential causes and recommendations.
Potential Causes
- Hemorrhoids: Swollen veins in the anus can cause a feeling of something being stuck or moving.
- Anal fissure: A small tear in the anal lining can cause discomfort, itching, and a slippery sensation.
- Proctitis: Inflammation of the rectum can cause discomfort, itching, and a feeling of something being stuck.
- Gastrointestinal issues: Conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) can cause anal discomfort.
Recommendations
- Consult a doctor: Schedule an appointment with your primary care physician or a gastroenterologist to discuss your symptoms.
- Anal examination: A doctor may perform an anal examination to check for hemorrhoids, anal fissures, or other issues.
- Stool tests: Your doctor may order stool tests to rule out gastrointestinal infections or inflammation.
- Dietary changes: Increasing fiber intake, staying hydrated, and avoiding spicy or irritating foods may help alleviate symptoms.
- Over-the-counter remedies: Your doctor may recommend over-the-counter creams, ointments, or suppositories to help manage symptoms.
When to Seek Immediate Attention
- Severe pain: If you experience severe anal pain or discomfort.
- Bleeding: If you notice blood in your stool or on toilet paper.
- Fever: If you have a fever above 101.5F (38.6C).
- Difficulty controlling bowel movements: If you experience involuntary bowel movements or difficulty controlling stool.

I've noticed this dryness on the skin just above my upper lip and right below my lower lip. The weird thing is, my actual lips arent dry, just the skin around them. This is the first time its happened and I haven't had this kind of dryness before. There's no itching and the skin isnt peeling either. I wash my face about twice or three times a day, so I'm not sure what's causing it. Do you have any idea what might be going on, and how I can fix it? Plus, are there any ways to prevent it from happening again?
Dryness in the areas around the lips could be due to several reasons such as environmental factors, excessive washing, or even certain skincare products. To help with this issue, you can try using a gentle moisturizer like Aquaphor Healing Ointment. Apply a thin layer on the dry areas above and below your lips twice a day. Additionally, you can use a lip balm with SPF to protect your lips from further dryness, such as Blistex Lip Medex. Make sure to drink an adequate amount of water to stay hydrated and avoid excessive washing of the face.
