I've just got my routine annual blood work back, and my bilirubin level is 1.1. The lab report says it's in the normal range, but being just 0.1 away from the edge makes me a bit uneasy. I do have hypertension and I'm on the generic form of Norvasc, 5mg, plus a low-dose aspirin. I'm very active, working out 5-6 days a weeklifting, running, or bikingand I maintain a healthy diet. I do enjoy some social drinks now and then. Should I be worried? My other numbers came out around the middle of the normal ranges.

View allI'm really concerned about my wife. About three weeks ago, she got an injection in her left hip at an authorized hospital because she was having stomach pain. Just yesterday, she noticed a lump at the injection site. There's not a lot of pain, but she does feel a little bit when it's pressed. I'm worried about what could be causing this lump and if it's something we should be concerned about. Is there anything I should do?
The lump at the injection site on your wife's left hip could be due to an inflammatory reaction, infection, abscess, or granuloma formation, and although it's likely a benign complication, it's essential to consult the doctor who administered the injection or visit the hospital's emergency department to rule out any serious infections or adverse reactions, and ensure proper evaluation and treatment.

I'm feeling pretty miserable with a cold and fever for the past couple of days. The cold symptoms are really intense, and although I only felt the fever internally yesterday, things seem to be getting worse. What should I do about this? Is there anything specific I should be worried about, or any remedies youd recommend to help me feel better?
-Sorry to hear you're feeling unwell! It sounds like the cold is hitting you harder than the fever. Make sure to rest, stay hydrated, and consider steam inhalation or a saline nasal spray for relief. If it worsens, dont hesitate to see a doctor.
