I've noticed there's a painless lump in front of my ear and it's sitting under the skin, and I'm not sure what it could be. Should I be worried about this, and what might be causing it?

View allHad FESS surgery 10 days ago to remove tissues in sinuses and around the eye. Now experiencing nasal congestion, slight swelling above and below the eye but no pain or eyelid involvement, good eye movement and light sensitivity. Also have a cough and pain above the eye when touched. Could these symptoms be related to the surgery?
Yes, it's likely that your symptoms are related to the FESS surgery, specifically due to the inflammation and healing process. The nasal congestion, swelling, and pain are common after FESS. A cough could also be a result of the surgery, as the sinuses and nasal passages are closely connected to the upper respiratory tract. The pain when touched around the eye could be related to the close proximity of the surgical area to the orbit.

I'm down to just one cigarette a day, but it's causing me some pretty annoying throat pain and itching that lasts a while. A doctor gave me mucaine gel mint last year. Do you think it's cool to keep using that?
Yes you can use that gel but try to quit smoking as that is the triggering factor.
