I've recently had my gallbladder removed due to gallstones, and before the surgery, I was experiencing high levels of SGOT, SGPT, and bilirubin. An endoscopy confirmed the gallstones, leading to the surgery. Now, after the surgery, I've had three liver function tests over a 10-day period. While the SGOT and SGPT levels are back to normal, my bilirubin total is still around 2.3. Is this normal after having my gallbladder removed?

After gallbladder removal surgery, it is not uncommon for bilirubin levels to be slightly elevated. However, a total bilirubin level of around 2.3 may still be within the normal range depending on the reference values used by the laboratory. It is important to monitor your bilirubin levels closely and follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation if needed. In the meantime, you can consider taking medications like Ursodiol to help with bile flow and digestion post gallbladder removal.

The persistent itchy anus, especially after wiping, could be caused by anal fissures, hemorrhoids, skin tags, or conditions like pruritus ani, psoriasis, or eczema; other possible causes include poor hygiene, excessive wiping, or irritation from soaps, wipes, or toilet paper; to alleviate the itch, try applying cool compresses, using gentle, fragrance-free cleansers, and avoiding scratching; consider consulting a gastroenterologist,

I'm having a bit of trouble with my breathing every evening; it feels like some sort of shortness of breath. I suspect it might be linked to acid reflux because when I manage to get rid of some gas, my breathing seems to return to normal. The feeling's pretty uncomfortable when the gas is there, and I'm starting to worry if there might be a lung issue going on. Could this be something related to my lungs, or is it really just about the reflux? Any guidance would be really appreciated.
