View allI'm considering laparoscopy for gallbladder stones but heard sometimes it doesn't work and they have to switch to full surgery during the procedure - is that true? And is there any way to know beforehand if this might happen in my case?
Yes, it's true that sometimes laparoscopic gallbladder removal (laparoscopic cholecystectomy) can be converted to open surgery (open cholecystectomy) during the procedure. While laparoscopic surgery is the preferred method due to its quicker recovery and smaller incisions, certain factors can necessitate a switch to open surgery

Can you tell me if there are non-surgical treatments for hernia and how serious it is I'm really worried and need more details as soon as possible
The hernia can only be treated with surgery, really. It can be managed with the hernia belt until you're waiting for surgery, but the only real treatment for a hernia is with surgery.
