My 65-year-old mom has a cold with yellow mucus when she coughs. Is it safe for her to get eye surgery right now or should we wait?

It's generally recommended to postpone non-urgent surgery, like eye surgery, when a patient has a cold, especially with yellow mucus, due to the risk of complications and potential for the surgery to be affected by an infection. Yellow mucus indicates an infection, which can make surgery more risky.

Also, if the cataract is fully matured, is laser surgery better or should we go for manual? And could you suggest the best doctor in Pune for diabetic patients needing cataract surgery someone with high success rates? I've heard about Sankara Netralaya in Chennai would you recommend going there instead?
