My blood test report shows 0 percent monocytes. Is this a cause for concern? What possible medical conditions could be associated with this finding? Other counts, including lymphocytes, are within the normal range, but eosinophils are 7 percent.

A 0 percent monocyte count may be lab variation or temporary. If other counts are normal and no symptoms, its likely not serious. Repeat CBC if concerned.
Dr. Kamran Suggests...
Take a COMPLETE BLOOD COUNT (CBC) Test or Take a LIVER FUNCTION TEST (LFT) Test

View allI had cold, cough, and fever two weeks ago. I consulted a doctor who prescribed antibiotics (Amoxicillin 625 mg), Paracetamol 500 mg, and Ascoril cough syrup. After a week, the cold and cough continued with a runny nose, so he gave me some cold tablets for two days, which helped temporarily. Now, I am again experiencing severe cold, cough, chills, and a temperature of 97 to 99F since yesterday. Today, I consulted the doctor again, and he recommended some blood and urine tests. I have attached the reports. He is asking me to take IV therapy daily for four days along with more antibiotics. I shared my medical history, and he suggested getting a second opinion from you regarding this treatment. Should I continue treatment with him, or should I go to a bigger hospital? Please advise. My father has a wet cough and seems weak. His blood report shows neutrophilic leucocytosis, and his lymphocyte count is 12.3. Is this a serious condition, or is it a normal response to a cold?
