My dad is 57 and needs cataract surgery but the hospital just quoted lens prices from 15k to 40k without explaining the differences. How do we pick the right lens what are the key features or benefits we should compare?

View allI have keratoconus in both eyes and I'm really confused about my options. One doctor suggested surgery while another said contact lenses are better than surgery and recommended trying them first. I'm only 17 and not sure what to choose should I go for contacts or consider surgery right away? What would be the best option for someone my age?
Information is very less.need to know level of keratoconus. In my point collagen crosslinking gives very good results in halting progression but all datas are to be seen and then to be decided the plan of treatment.
