My dad has been dealing with a fistula for the past 10 years. Should he consider surgery or are there other treatment options we should look into? It's been really tough for him and I'm not sure what the best course of action is.

I'm noticing that near the opening of my anus, there's this extra piece of skin hanging out, kind of like a small bulb. It's not painful, but it's really noticeable and seems larger than a small piece of skin should be. I'm a bit worried about what this could be and wondering if it's something I should be concerned about. Can you provide any insights on what this might be and if I should have it checked out?
