My dad's 72 and already has some heart issues. Recently, he's been dealing with fluid retention in his lungs, and even though he's on all the necessary medications and seeing a cardiologist, we're not seeing much improvement. He can't sleep well, isn't eating much, and seems to be getting weaker. We're really worried. Do you think we should consult a pulmonologist to help with his breathing, or is there something else we should be looking into to help him feel better?

View allI'm really worried about my dad. He's been dealing with ILD for the past 3 years and has to use an oxygen concentrator almost constantly. I've done a lot of reading about this disease, but I only find information on pulmonary rehabilitation and oxygen therapy. I've been having these moments where it feels like I can't really breathe, especially after eating or sometimes at night. It's like I'm not getting enough air or something. If I try to breathe deeply, I get this tightness in my back and upper chest. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it's really uncomfortable. Could you help me figure out what's going on?

I'm really worried because I've been dealing with a dry cough for over two months now, and I've had breathing problems too. My head hurts a lot, and I've been vomiting. I got an x-ray, and it looks like the infection in my chest is getting worse. What could be causing all this, and what should I do next?
