My dad's been diagnosed with pulmonary TB, but it was kind of a surprise because he didn't show the usual symptoms like a persistent cough or weight loss. His weight is 47kg and he's 78 years old. We began AKT4 treatment, and everything seemed fine for the first five days. But by the seventh day, he had really bad nausea, vomiting, and extreme weakness. When we got him to the hospital, they found his sodium and potassium levels had tanked. They've suggested stopping AKT4 for a couple of days until his levels stabilize, then restarting with a slightly lower dosage. Is it okay to pause and adjust his meds like this since it's still the early stage of TB and there isn't much lung damage?

View allI've come across my friend's medical report, and I'm a bit puzzled about what it says. It mentions a "Specimen sputum" and that no pathogenic organisms were isolated after 18 to 24 hours of incubation. Could you help me understand what this means exactly? Is it a good sign, or should we be worried about anything?
sputum examination doesn't have any organisms. it means no tuberculosis mainly

I've been experiencing shortness of breath lately. I went to see a doctor, and they did a chest X-ray which came back clear, and the doctor also did a PFT, mentioning it wasn't too bad. But I still feel like I can't catch my breath, and it's really worrying me. I'm wondering if this could all just be in my head or if there's something else going on. What do you think?
Seroflo rotahaler sos for breathing difficulty is advised to the patient.

I've been having trouble with my nose getting blocked every morning around 5 a.m. for the past few days. I'm currently taking Telma 20 mg and Montair R10 once a day in the morning, along with using the Seretide 500 inhaler twice a day. Could any of these meds be influencing my symptoms, or is there something else going on? Any idea why this might be happening?
