fever like illness can sometimes cause loss of taste, its quite normal. Take medicines to reduce fever, cold cough, it will be normal within next week

I'm really worried because I've been coughing for two weeks now, and it's getting to the point where sometimes when I cough really hard, it completely blocks my throat and I can't breathe. It's scary, and on top of that, I've actually thrown up what I've just eaten a few times. I already saw a general doctor, but the meds they gave me aren't doing anything.
