My dad's doctor recommended cataract surgery with Phaco Emulsification with PCIOL left in local anaesthesia but I'm not sure what that means. We're considering Alcon acrysof iq monofocal or monofocal toric lenses how do these differ from the PCIOL mentioned in the prescription? Just trying to understand the options better.

View allI'm 18 and have myopia with -2.25 and -1.75 power. I want to join NDA where the limit is -2.5. Can wearing glasses, taking vitamin A, eating healthy, and avoiding eye strain help reduce my myopia by just 0.25 or 1D? Or is there any other way to keep my power from increasing? I heard LASIK might make me unfit for NDA so what options do I have
my dear friend,-1.75 and -2.25 DS is already less than -2.50 ,so according to your claim of having myopia less than -2.50 is fulfilling your criteria.so no worries now.,go ahead and persue profession of your choice. but please make sure of the requirement standards of NDA. yes ,healthy diet is always helpful ,but you will have to keep using your glasses, otherwise your power would increase.

Lasik surgery if done from the right place also from an experienced doctor, usually has no complications With latest technology it’s very safe -3 is decent and will get rid of it easily

Is there any way to cure myopia naturally without relying on surgery or glasses I've been wondering if lifestyle changes or exercises can help improve my eyesight over time
No proven natural cure for myopia—eye exercises may reduce strain but won't reverse refractive error.
