my doctor said I need surgery soon and gave me two options machine-assisted or manual surgery. which one is better and what are the pros and cons of each?

Minimally invasive: Robotic-assisted surgery can sometimes be less invasive than manual surgery, leading to smaller incisions, less trauma to surrounding tissues, and potentially faster recovery times.

View allMy mom is 62 and had a minor ankle fracture after slipping on stairs in Australia. The doctors suggested surgery with steel plates and screws, but I'm not sure if it's necessary. What are the risks if she goes through with it? Could this affect her ability to walk normally later? Her leg is in a bandage up to the knee right now, and I've attached the report for reference. Would love your thoughts on whether surgery is the best option for her.

I have a flap tear in the posterior horn of my lateral meniscus and also an ACL tear my ACL surgery is scheduled for next week. Do I really need surgery for the meniscus tear too, or can it heal on its own? I'm worried about having two surgeries and how that might affect recovery.
Whether you need surgery for a flap tear in the posterior horn of your lateral meniscus alongside your scheduled ACL surgery depends on the severity and type of tear, as well as your individual circumstances. While some smaller tears might heal on their own with conservative treatment, larger or more complex tears may require surgery, either at the same time as the ACL surgery or separately. The decision will be made by your orthopedic surgeon, taking into account factors like the tear's size, location, and your overall health

I've been dealing with avascular necrosis in both legs for the past year with really bad pain, but since I also have HIV, I'm not getting good responses about treatment options. Where can I go for hip replacement surgery and will my condition stay confidential?
