My father blood test showed a creatinine level of 9 and potassium level of 7.56, so the doctor advised immediate dialysis. He has undergone two dialysis sessions so far, one the day before yesterday and one today. The ultrasound report shows that both kidneys are normal in size and there are no stones. However, the urine report indicates elevated RBCs and pus cells. Now, the doctor is recommending a kidney biopsy. I would like to understand what the next steps should be and whether the biopsy is necessary at this stage.

High creatinine and potassium suggest acute kidney injury. Biopsy may help determine cause. Follow nephrologist advice. Monitor closely.
Dr. Shaik Suggests...
Take a CULTURE AND SENSITIVITY - URINE (AUTOMATED) Test or Take a RENAL PROFILE/KIDNEY FUNCTION TEST (RFT/KFT) Test

View allHello. I am 28 years old. My urine test report shows PUS cells 6 to 8 per hpf, RBC 3 to 4 per hpf, plenty of epithelial cells, occasional bacteria, trace blood, and specific gravity 1.010. My doctor told me I have a UTI and prescribed URISPAS, ZANOCIN 200, and ALKASOL liquid. Please suggest the procedure to treat my condition and let me know if there is any risk factor if I try to conceive?

I am suffering from urinating problems for the past 4 to 5 months. I need to pass urine 8 to 10 times at night. I pass more urine while sitting than standing. I went to the hospital and my lab reports and USG are normal. The doctor advised me to take Tab. Cystone but it has not cured my problem. Please advise me as I am suffering from a big problem?
