My father was hospitalized for a urinary tract infection and treated with cefox and augmentin. He recovered for one week but at that time pus cells and RBC were present in the urine report and TLC was 13900. Then after eight days fever repeated and TLC was 13000 but urine was clear. He was treated with ampicillin 500 four times. Now after eight days fever has repeated. What will be the cause? Urine culture is negative. There is some increase in the prostate. A stone is seen in the gallbladder. Every Monday fever repeats.

Recurrent fever with raised TLC but negative cultures may be due to prostatitis, gallbladder stones, or occult infections. Fever every Monday suggests cyclic inflammation. Prostate enlargement and gallstones need review. You must take a Prostate Ultrasound and Blood Culture to confirm the infection source.
Dr. Dhankecha Suggests...
Take a CULTURE AND SENSITIVITY - AEROBIC (BLOOD) Test or Take a PSA Test (Prostatic Specific Antigen) Test

I had a UTI two weeks back and took antibiotics (Nitrobact 100) as there was bleeding along with urine. From today morning, I have the same problem but without bleeding. My period is three days delayed, and there is a faint line on the urine pregnancy test. I drank a lot of water, and the symptoms have reduced a bit. Please tell me the reason for this, as I am scared. I am new to Mumbai and not aware of good hospitals. Please suggest a few urine tests to find out the reason for this? I am also planning to conceive.

My routine urine report shows 10 to 15 pus cells per hpf and a trace amount of protein. Epithelial cells are 2 to 3 per hpf. Could you please help me understand what this means and if any treatment is needed?
