My girlfriend just started getting these weird red streaky rashes on her hands, legs, and back out of nowhere this afternoon. At first, it kinda looked like shed been scratched by a cat or something, but thats definitely not it. Should we be worried and see a doctor ASAP?

View allI've noticed some black lines appearing on a few of my fingernails over the past few months, and now they're on about two or three fingers. I'm pretty worried and curious about what this might mean. Can you shed some light on what could be causing these lines and how I might be able to treat them? I'd really appreciate any advice you can give.

I'm dealing with some jock itch and picked up Lobate GM cream to help with it. I'm wondering if it's safe to use or should I stick with something like itch guard instead?
Lobate GM cream contains Clobetasol, Miconazole, and Neomycin. It is not typically recommended for jock itch as it contains a steroid which may worsen fungal infections. Itch guard cream, on the other hand, contains Clotrimazole which is effective against fungal infections like jock itch. I recommend using Itch guard cream for jock itch. Apply it twice daily for 2-4 weeks for best results.

I've had this pea-sized lump on my bikini line for almost two years now. It sometimes oozes pus, and while I've had similar ones before, they've never lasted this longusually just a week or so. This one feels hard and sometimes shrinks a lot, but then it puffs back up again. Should I be worried about it, and what could it possibly be?
It sounds like you may have a recurrent abscess in your bikini area. I recommend using an antibiotic ointment like Neosporin and applying it to the affected area twice a day after cleaning it with mild soap and water. You can also take an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen to help with any discomfort. If the lump does not improve or if you develop a fever, please seek medical attention for further evaluation and possible drainage of the abscess.
