my heel pain is really bad and the doctor said it's a calcaneal spur but I don't want surgery right now - is there any medicine that can dissolve it or help with the pain

View allMy mom is 64 and has osteoporosis with knee pain in both legs. She had an accident 10 years ago and still has a rod in her left thigh that runs from the upper thigh to just above the knee. I'm wondering if the rod needs to be removed before she gets knee replacement surgery. Also, the doctor suggested replacing both knees what are the risks and success rates for someone with her condition?

i have three plates and screws in my body from a previous surgery and im wondering if i should get another surgery to remove them what do most patients usually do in this situation
Implants are usually left in unless they cause pain or interfere with movement. Removal is elective and discussed case by case.

I've had a swollen lump behind my left knee for almost five years now, but it doesn't hurt when I walk or run. A neurologist told me it's a Baker's cyst. Is there any way to get rid of the fluid in the lump without having surgery?
Excision of the cyst is advised to the patient.
