My mom is 63 and has been having knee pain lately. She's using Himalaya joint pain oil which helps a bit but she's scared to see a doctor in case they recommend surgery. Should we keep using the oil or is it better to get her checked out?

It's important for your mother to see a doctor about her knee pain, even if it's just for a bit of relief with the Himalaya oil. While the oil may offer temporary relief, it's not a long-term solution and a doctor can help determine the cause and recommend the best course of treatment, which may not always involve surgery.

View allMy 93-year-old mom has been dealing with really bad knee pain for the past year and it's making everyday life tough for her. Is knee replacement surgery even an option at her age or are there other treatments we should consider first? I'm worried about the risks but also want her to have some relief
While knee replacement surgery is generally safe, even for older adults, it's crucial to carefully consider all available treatment options for your 93-year-old mother, weighing the potential benefits and risks. A consultation with her doctor is vital to assess her overall health, the severity of her knee pain, and the suitability of different treatments, including non-surgical approaches and, if appropriate, knee replacement

I have stage 2 avascular necrosis in my left femoral head and heard homeopathy might help cure it without surgery Has anyone actually recovered this way or are there other non-surgical options that worked for people
Homeopathy may help symptoms, but there's no strong evidence it can reverse avascular necrosis. Core decompression or stem cell therapy might help before joint replacement is needed.
