My mom is about to turn 63 and has been having trouble with her urine flow it stops and starts repeatedly, with only small amounts coming out each time. Could this be a serious issue or just a mild infection? Would she need medication or possibly surgery to fix this?

Urinary flow issues in older adults can be a sign of a urinary tract infection or a more serious condition like bladder dysfunction. Medications may help, but if it’s persistent, further tests and possible treatment (including surgery) might be necessary.

View allMy dad had prostate surgery on June 25th and the doctor said he recovered well with no issues. But since yesterday, he's been passing small clots in his urine and it's slightly reddish at first before turning clear. He doesn't have any pain and hasn't overexerted himself. Should we be concerned about this?
urine culture and sensitivity is advised to the patient.

I'm 61 years old with a Grade 2 enlarged prostate and cysts in both kidneys 14x10mm on the right and 14x12mm on the left. Should I be considering surgery for these conditions?
your kidney cysts don't need surgery. Prostate may need treatment if it is causing problems. See your family doctor or a urologist for this.
