My mom had surgery for follicular neoplasm thyroiditis and now her voice sounds weak and unclear. Should she rest her voice or try to speak more to recover? Also, is there any risk of cancer after this type of surgery?

View allI'm really concerned about this ongoing soreness and scratchy feeling in my throat that I've had for the last four months. I've seen several ENT specialists, and each one seems to have a different take on it. One mentioned acid reflux but I don't actually feel any heartburn, while another pointed to post-nasal drip and after a CT scan said I have ethmoid sinusitis and inflammation in my throat. He mentioned surgery might be an option if medication doesn't help, which I'm really not eager for. Yet another doctor said it's just an infection, but that doesnt seem to explain everything, and I can't get rid of this nagging feeling. I went down a Google rabbit hole and read about persistent throat issues being linked to cancer. Could just a sore throat really mean something as serious as cancer?

My nose feels really dry, and I can even feel the dryness when I'm breathing. It's uncomfortable, and I've tried putting on some Vaseline, but I'm not sure if that's enough. Is there anything else I should be doing to help with this dryness?
I recommend using a saline nasal spray to help moisturize your nasal passages. You can also try using a humidifier in your room to add moisture to the air. If the dryness persists, you can use a nasal gel like Rhinase to help lubricate your nasal passages.

I've recently gotten over COVID-19, but now I'm dealing with some post-COVID issues and I'm not sure what to do. I'm experiencing nasal congestion and occasional headaches. During my recovery, I was on steroids40mg for five days, 20mg for two days, and then 10mg for another two days. Afterwards, I took voriconazole 200mg for four days as per the advice I received. The nasal congestion feels really uncomfortable, and honestly, it's starting to scare me a bit. What should I do about this uneasiness?
