My mom was diagnosed with colon cancer during rectal surgery without a biopsy first. Is it okay to diagnose cancer without doing a biopsy? I'm really worried about whether this was the right way to do it.

View allI'm a 27-year-old guy with multiple lymph nodes, around 6-7, in my right neck. Had surgery attempted in 2018 but the surgeon said it was too risky to remove directly. FNAC didn't work just blood came out. Seen over 10 ENTs and oncologists but nobody can confirm if it's cancer or just fatty lumps. Spent all my savings on tests and consultations, no insurance for surgery, so I'm stuck due to finances. One surgeon warned I might lose my voice if operated on. There's also a small node on my right thyroid. It's been 5+ years no throat pain, night sweats, or cough, occasional fever but I eat fine. Any idea what this could be or what else I can do?
ent follow-up is advised to the patient.

My mom was diagnosed with colon cancer and had a laparoscopic low anterior resection surgery. The biopsy shows tumor deposits one in number but no lymph nodes involved out of 16 examined. The tumor is moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma, pT3 pN1c. Since there's a tumor deposit but no lymph node involvement, does she still need chemo?
oncologist opinion is advised.

my dad has stage 4 adenocarcinoma colon cancer and is currently doing chemo - i'm wondering about surgery costs and whether surgery would actually be a good option for him at this stage
Stage 4 colon cancer patients may undergo surgery for obstruction or metastasis resection. Costs vary by hospital. Benefit depends on performance status and response to chemo.
