My mother has been suffering from fever for the past 3 days. Her blood test report shows S. Typhi O 1:160 and S. Typhi H 1:80. Her platelet count is 1.74 lakhs per cumm. Please guide me about this report.

These titers suggest possible early typhoid. Platelets are in safe range. Clinical correlation needed. Start antibiotics if fever persists.
Dr. Siri Suggests...
Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test or Take a Typhidot Test Test

View allHi, my 7 year old niece is suffering from typhoid with a high fever of 103 to 104 degree. Today her blood report shows a hemoglobin count of 5.9. The pediatrician has given sodium drips and injections to lower the fever, but it is still 101 degree a few hours ago. I am very concerned about the low hemoglobin count. Please suggest immediate action?

Last month I got sick with a mild sore throat followed by high fever. I started taking antibiotics for the sore throat, but the fever and body pain continued. After a week, my doctor did a Widal test, which was positive, and prescribed Cyproxin for 2 weeks, suspecting typhoid. I felt better during treatment, but only for one week after stopping the antibiotics, and now I am sick again with low body temperature (36.2C) and fatigue. Other tests including CBC, thyroid, kidney, malaria, and liver function are normal. What could be causing my recurring illness, and what should I do?

I had a fever for a few days, and my recent test results indicate typhoid fever at a late stage, but I have not started any treatment yet. My Widal test results are as follows, S.T.O is 1:320, S.T.H is 1:160, S.T.AH is 1:160, S.T.BH is 1:80. Please advise on the next steps for treatment.
